Happy Sunday and Happy August! The older I get the quicker the months go by. This week has been one of balance and organisation. Reflecting on the past month, lessons learnt and things to do. I’ve been hyper fixated on documenting everything the past month in London that if anything, my biggest lesson from July was to just be more present. I think there is so much beauty in scarcity, having thousands of photos is overwhelming, and I think that’s why a film camera is so special.
THE VIBE:
DOING:
This month I redecorated my bedroom, which honestly one of the highlights of my week. I had dedicated my interior focus on our living room so our bedroom took the short straw. I will be sharing a full video to socials this coming week, but you can get a sneak peak in my latest vlog (when I share) It is pretty amazing how big a difference a pair of curtains can make haha.
I have been in my active era! I took a tennis lesson on monday (arms hurt so much the next day) and a boxing lesson on wednesday (arm ache continues.) I’ve been enjoying trying out different classes and sports, every class feels like a mini pe lesson and I’m kind of a fan.
On Friday night we checked out Ria’s in Notting Hill which was wonderful. Deep fried chicago pies and natty wines! The interiors were beautiful and very much felt One Day, 2006 vibes.
READING:
I am still continuing with Yellow Face but I also picked up The Idiot on Wednesday. I found myself in central london with no book and nothing to do so I headed to Daunt bookshop for the first time and left with the Idiot. I had been wanting to pick it up ever since hearing Ella’s rave review.
WEARING:
Birkenstocks, basket bags & baggy t-shirts. This is probably the most boring section, of this newsletter because it never changes. I did pick up some new tees from arket in the sale which I am most excited about. Hoping my next purchase will be some baggy dark wash denim to pair with them.
WANTING:
Exclusively these Le Specs Sunglasses and journals from Paper Republic.
WATCHING:
Apart from being glued to the TV watching the Olympics back to back, I have been enjoying these YouTube videos and Liv’s videos on TikTok. I found her from her work vlog ditl, but I can tell already her content is going to be so good.
LISTENING:
Role Model on repeat! Not my usual music but I have been obsessed with Deeply Still in Love since it came out.
A shorter post this week, but I hope you are all keeping well and have the bestest week ahead!
Love,
Lexie xx
