I was talking to a friend this week about fears that the best work we've created might already be behind us, and that nothing we create in the future will surpass our past work. I think this is a common worry in creative fields—a fear of the unknown and uncertainty about what’s to come. It’s a thought has been on my mind a lot this week, especially after revisiting my old blog. I feel like I had a way with words then, but it seems like that skill is fading with TikTok brain rot.
Rediscovering my old blog hasn’t just been a bad thing though, it brought back so many memories and has me excited for prospects on substack. So today I bring to you my renamed weekly update titled, ‘quickfire catch up.’ I want to keep these as regular as possible and keep you informed in a speedy manner. WEARING:
This week I have not been able to take off my new hm jeans. It was like 35 degrees this monday which was madness, but my hm order arrived with my new jeans and I was still so desperate to wear them lol. They are a really great fit. I’m 5ft5 and they sit just perfectly on my hips and hit just on my ankle. I have alerts on for if they come back into stock in white because I am so obsessed. I’ve also been loving wearing my organic basics undies. They kindly sent me some pieces and I’m so obsessed, so soft! If you guys want to try out anything they gave me a code ‘lexie10’ for 10% off.
WANTING:
not shown: ‘thanks its mac’ lipstick, tiktok has made me want and this Marimekko shirt I saw on Heidi’s ig story from CPHFW. I can’t stop thinking about it and I have no idea when it will be available to sell.
WATCHING:
Watching Call Me By Your Name, I always end up watching it every summer. The scenery, vibes transport me to Italy. I need to discover some similar films, please let me know if you have any recs!
