Autumn is here in full swing and I am so happy for it. Last Saturday, Archie and I went to Hampstead for the first time and it was glorious. It felt like a little (very busy) village. We drank coffee outside in the sunshine, mooched around book shops and had a very wholesome picnic on a bench in the heath. When the sun is shining and the air is crisp, its my favourite kind of weather.

DOING:
I have spent most of the time hibernating at home. Last week was super busy, but this week has allowed for a little bit of a catch up. Enjoying warm matcha, butternut squash risotto and cosy self care evenings. I am currently on the hunt for a vintage side table/ dresser for our bedroom. I’m in need of a makeup station and have a very specific idea in mind, wether or not I find what I am after is another thing.
READING:
Currently reading Rachel Cusk ‘Outline.’ I’m really enjoying it and her writing style. I was sat on a train for 3 hours on Monday, due to the rain and delved deep into it. It makes me want to book a trip to Greece. I also picked up Intermezzo at the weekend, which I am itching to read! I actually have never read a Sally Rooney book… So I am very excited for Intermezzo and to see what all the hype is about.
WEARING:
Very happy to see the start of coat season. My navy, oversized coat from vinted (zara…) has come out of hibernation and I’ve been enjoying wearing long sleeve t-shirts with it. Post holiday, I have been unable to wear any shoes except birkenstocks because my feet are in pieces! I want to find some new cosy, autumn footwear. Any recs?
WANTING:
I have gone from feeling as though I don’t need anything, to having a never ending wishlist. I am beyond excited to smell Glossier’s new perfumes. I would happily blind buy because I trust them so much, the You Doux sounds like a little bit of me. I think it will be making my Christmas wishlist.
I am also on the hunt for triangle scarfs. I have really enjoyed wearing neck ties this summer, and it’s something I want to continue in the autumn. I saw this gorgeous blue stripe neck scarf on Free People, which I saw Lady Diana May with and haven’t stopped thinking about. I don’t tend to wear a lot of blue or colour, but this might be just the right amount of colour for a basic outfit.
WATCHING:
I have been getting into the autumn mode by watching some of my favourite films. The Dead Poets Society, When Harry Met Sally, Buffy The Vampire Slayer (thats my favourite October watch.) We also started Ludwig on iPlayer and have been loving it, an easy watch.
I have also been loving Sabine’s vlogs from her recent trip to Amsterdam and have also been enjoying Moya’s videos for inspiration for the vlogs.
LISTENING:
A lot of Ella this week.
I am posting daily on YouTube for Vlogtober this year, if you want to see anything in particular please let me know!
Have a great week ahead,
Love, Lexie xx
