This week has been the first week in London, so as with new chapters I thought only right to start a new newsletter series? Or reformatting if you can call it that.
I feel things with London are already off to a better start than last time, probably because the weather has been so nice. We’ve spent evenings after work by the river, sitting in the park and drinking aperol spritz. It’s nice to be closer to friends, but harder to be away from family.
WEARING:
Loving on white jeans as per and this little red shift dress from asos. I have not brought from asos in years but found myself scrolling desperately the other day for summer outfits. It has quite a cute retro look to it and I love how lightweight it feels. My usual summer uniform is always a blue shirt over a tee and this abercrombie one I wear religiously.
EATING:
Had a delicious breakfast at N5 Kitchen in Islington. It was the world’s first and only dedicated Sylvanian Families shop prior to opening as N5 last year. It had such a lovely feel to it, and delicious cookies.
Spent this weekend drinking NIO Hawaiian cocktails with friends. They are the cutest things, little postcard size cocktails that fit through your letterbox, they pack a punch too.
READING:
Reading August Blue by Deborah Levy. Not loving it as much as her trilogy and feeling a sad for it. Next on my list is Yellow Face which I am really looking forward to.
FACE:
New category alert! I feel this is probably a key category considering I work in beauty? I went along to the Charlotte Tilbury offices this week to try out their new foundation stick. It’s a 10/10 but more excitingly introduced me to to the contour wand and I understand the hype.
I have really been enjoying this Caudalie The Des Vignes body wash. I brought it on a whim in Paris and just can’t get enough of it. It smells incredible and I genuinely think my skin feels better for it?
WANTING:
Desperate for the sofa to arrive but also wanting a cool floor light and some new art. Having more walls is great news but means more art is needed to fill the space. I wanted to check out some of the car boot sales on sunday to see if there was anything of interest, they used to be so good in Brighton. We ran out of time in our first week but maybe next week we will have better luck?
LISTENING:
I’ve really been enjoying this Nancy Myers vibe playlist. I’m trying to romanticise the days in this city, and keep my feelings sweet. I might just rewatch parent trap after this.
I think thats all from me this week, keeping it short and sweet! I would love to know what kinda content you would like to see from me now I’m in London! I’m really enjoying and trying to get back on the vlog game on Youtube so let me know if you like those too.
Love,
Lexie xo
