I love getting people gifts, it’s one of my favourite things about Christmas. I love the challenge of finding something to buy and thinking of something to surprise someone with. That being said, every shop has a curated gift guide and it is SO overwhelming, I’ve created a few gift guide edits to help ‘guide’ you with your gifts. I’ve tried to include a range of prices for budget friendly options too, but of course there are options for all!
GIFT GUIDE FOR HIM:
My boyfriend is notoriously hard to buy for. gifts ALWAYS end up getting returned. For that reason, I’ve learnt over the years what is a fail safe gift and what is more ‘risky.’ Failsafe options include: toiletries, bedding and mugs. Risky options include: aftershave, shoes & clothes. That being said, I have had a few very successful riskier gifts in the past that Archie still wears to this day. This little gift edit includes a mix of both, so if you’re feeling bold.. it’s worth a shot.
aesop body scrub, peace and quiet cap, shirley temple mocktail, mug, le labo fragrance (check out eden perfumes for vegan alternatives), earphones, sunglasses, bedding, le labo candle, personalised record, boston birkenstocks, tekla bath mat
GIFT GUIDE FOR YOUR BESTIE:
Buying for your bestie is quite literally the best, because it means buying things that you would buy for yourself. I like to think of it as buying the little bits from my never ending wishlist. You get all the buying satisfaction and you get to gift it. A win win. I’m obsessed with In Print We Trust Tee’s, and I think it’s the perfect price point and gift for your bestie, I actually think I’m gonna have to buy now for myself lol.
personalised recipe book, glossier you roll on, in print we trust tee, Archive Sofia Coppola photo book, hoop earrings, ice roller, snow fairy spray, jenki matcha, espressoh blush, film for her book, claw clip, carhartt lunch box, glossier candle
GIFT GUIDE FOR SECRET SANTA
Secret Santa doesn’t just mean silly or useless presents, and regrettably I think it gets this reputation. My friends and I always love to do a little secret santa which is so much fun, and between us we normally have the budget of £15. It’s just the right amount to get one cute little thing, without putting too much pressure on it. In the past we’ve exchanged books, wine, bath bombs and jewellery. If you’re feeling fancy or have a bit more budget to play with, I think a film camera and film would be a super cute secret santa present and a fun little momento of the gifting exchange.
film camera, hot water bottle, rhode lip peptide, bum bum cream, matches, hair bow, atomic habits book, love bite wine, stay cool mug, espressoh candle, dozy girl tea, the idiot book, hair clip, pasta earrings
GIFT GUIDE FOR THE HOME LOVER
This one is for your friends or family who have recently moved or just love being home (hard relate) It wouldn’t be a gift guide from me without some reference to homewear, so this is my ultimate homewear edit, aka things I would like in my own home. I really don’t think you can go wrong with a nice candle tbh.
tortoishell spoons, candle holders, mugs, tea, crates, smeg coffee machine, boy smells candle, jenki matcha, notebook, bedding, tiramisu print, glasses
GIFT GUIDE FOR YOUR FAMILY
I never know what to get my family, but these are some sweet things I think mine would appreciate. In this age of consumption, perishables and food are a failsafe for my family members, and a nice bottle of wine with a cute bottle opener feels like the perfect duo.
bottle opener, coffee, amie wine, personalised photobook, biscuiteers, marlon brando print, matcha knit, our place pan, vase, chocolate, the longing towels, olives, gloves
I hope these offer some fun inspiration for your gifting this season! It’s of course important we remember that these are just ‘things,’ it’s the people that matter.
Enjoy,
love, lexie x
