week forty eight
monthly makes, black friday thoughts & november favourites
hello hello! It is Saturday as I write this, and it is a very Saturday kinda Saturday. We started the weekend with park run followed by croissants, coffee and now crochet. The big three C’s!
I have enjoyed a lot of good stuff this month and I have been making a lot. Some of you might remember (or maybe not actually, it was in my early days of TikTok back in 2021) that I started sharing crochet content online. I dropped off with it, but I’m back, and would love to share more again. I have been furiously crafting, hopefully with lots to show.
November favourites:
Molecule 1 perfume. Love this, it has that glossier warmth. I find I need to layer it though to make it last longer
The navy mohair sophie scarf I made as a tester but have not taken off
Watching Harry Potter for the first time
Arket Vanilla Buns
Gel nail manicures
interiors:
I finished the cafe curtain and love how it looks, next to make one for the bathroom too
I have managed to abstain from Black Friday mostly this year, except for this poster which I picked up from Etsy. I have been feeling so overwhelmed by ‘stuff’, maybe it makes me a bad ‘influencer,’ but I find myself saying no more and trying to be intentional with how I work. I am still learning but I feel comfy telling you all on here about it.
It’s why I got rid of the ‘wanting’ section in this newsletter and why I am so bad at affiliate linking... I would much rather be able to share inspiration and creative expression with you, rather than a shopping list
We went to a pottery class in Acton early November and made these amazing marbled coffee cups. We got them back Monday and I have used them all week.
fashion:
This video has inspired me to look in the mens trouser section in charity shops
stripe socks and loafers
long skirts with boots, maybe it was the trip to Edinburgh that influenced me?
wearing knit jumpers as scarves, very chic
monthly makes:
pottery
fuzzy hats
bobble pouches (made a few of these so far, cute but they use up a lot of yarn!)
christmas stockings
laptop sleeves
really want to get this dumpling bag pattern, so cute!!
I am obsessed with this top that Amazingishgrace made, when I have time I may give it a go, most likely January…
November’s Soundtrack:
That’s all for today! see you next time,
Lexie xx
