week forty six
november inspiration and homeware newness
I was half way through listing nearly my whole wardrobe on vinted when I felt compelled to write. I got back from a trip to Edinburgh a few days ago and had the post holiday clarity big time. Suddenly everything I own feels overwhelming and not me, hence the mass vinted upload. Now halfway through the task I forgot why it was such a good idea…
I caved on my spending ban and made a few purchases for the flat. Firstly this bathroom cabinet, we have been needing better storage in our bathroom for a while and I love the fluted glass, It has tidied up the bathroom massively. I also purchased this bath mat to match our kitchen one we purchased in Porto. I had been looking for ages with no luck and found it on an independent homewares site, even better!
We have a few other exciting homeware things to share (pending next week!) but in the meantime I wanted to share a few things I have been enjoying as we begin to winter.
DOING:
We just got back from a trip to Edinburgh which was really lovely. It was such a magical city and has been on my list for a long time. We spent a day and a half exploring the old town, shopping and eating reallly good food. Had some amazing meals, I did a mini guide here.
READING:
Girls I have fallen off my reading mojo and I need it back! Other than my monthly Vogue edition, I have read nothing longer than a TikTok caption. I ordered some Jilly Cooper novels the other day to get into after I loved watching Rivals so much at the start of the year. Will keep you posted!
WEARING:
I haven’t taken off my brown cardigan from The Gather since I brought it the other week, it’s the perfect boxy fit and keeps me toasty warm.
I have been loving wearing it with my oversized weekday coat too. I wanted something neutral that would go with everything this winter and be bold enough to be a statement on its own. I love it, even if I have to hoist it up to walk up the stairs.
LOVING:
honey on toast
good storytelling! I put this in here because I have become so conscious of my own mindless online consumption. When I come across content that really tells a story, I find myself so excited by it. I’ve been enjoying Maxime’s videos and Margot’s videos at the moment.
Neck Scarves (will be crocheting some of course)
Red nail polish
glossier you! It makes me feel so nostalgic this time of year, it would always be on my christmas list
My Clinique chubby stick (need that glow!!)
We did a pottery class for Archie’s birthday the other week and it was so much fun, I really enjoyed the whole process it was so relaxing! We have to wait until January for our mugs so stay tuned
WATCHING:
The Traitors, I have been obsessed and finally understand the hype. Also really enjoying Gilmore Girls. It would be rude not to?! It is the season.
LISTENING:
I have just discovered the podcast ‘Straight Up,’ and if there’s one recommendation you take from this post let it be this! It really has filled the High Low void for me I love listening to Kathleen and Ellie’s hot takes on pop culture!
Enjoying this as background music to my week:
On that note, I will leave you as I head to package up some Vinted parcels. The rest of this week is looking calm and I’m excited to get stuck into some projects, all to be revealed soon.
Have a lovely rest of your week and speak soon!
